FAQs

What are KALIKKO semi-cured gel nail wraps?

They are a new type of nail wraps made of real gel nail polish that has been partially hardened during production so they can be easily applied like a sticker.

They are easy to apply, comfortable to wear, and most importantly give a long-lasting thick and polished soft gel nail finish.

Can the gel nail wraps be used to add length?

The nails are designed to be the same length to your nails and should not be used as extensions. They will go hard and act as a durable layer on top of your natural nails but will not be hard enough to add length. Gel nails, while durable, aren't as strong as acrylic nails. They are more flexible than acrylic nails even when fully cured so it still needs a base.

Will the gel wraps damage my nails?

No, as long as you follow the application and removal instructions. Using KALIKKO Semi-Cured Gel Nail Wraps can help brittle and soft nails by protecting them from everyday wear and tear, allowing them to grow.

The gels stick to your nails using a medical adhesive that is strong and durable but also safe. The removal process is also much more gentle than with traditional gel as they do not require to be soaked off.

However, it's better to avoid using them if you have done a patch test and have gotten a reaction, your skin is irritated or you have any deep wounds on your hands.

How long will the gel wraps last?

You will get up to 14 days sometimes longer out of your wraps. This does depend on how well you have prepped your nails and care for them once the wraps are on. Remember your nails are jewels not tools.

How do I select the sized nail wrap?

Each kit contains 20 nail wraps in 10 different sizes. Line your nail against the sheet of wraps, then compare which size best matches the width of your cuticle and nail bed. Don’t worry if isn't an exact match as you can stretch the semi-cured gel to configure to your nail.

Stretch horizontally to increase the width slightly or vertically if you need to make the wraps slightly thinner and longer.

Can I reuse the gel wraps?

No, once the wraps have been removed after being cured and hardened on the nail, they will lose their adhesive properties, which means reapplying them will not be possible.

How should I store my remaining gel wraps?

Once you have opened your nail wraps keep them in their protective sleeve and inside their box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Can I use a base or top coat with the gel wraps?

Our gel wraps combine a top coat, pigmented layer and adhesive base into one.

Therefore there is no need to add a top coat, however if you would like to add a little extra shine or extend the length of your manicure you can apply a gel top coat on top and along the edges.

It is not recommended to use a base coat as the wraps are designed to adhere to clean and bare nails.
